Which ‘religion’ will see the greatest decrease in number of adherents in the 2021 Census
Betfair-Metaphysical.com lets you play the 2021 Census in England and Wales (E&W). All bets relate to the ‘What is Your Religion?’ question on the census. A census happens every ten years and Census Day 2021 is Sunday March 21, 2021. The Census is run by the Office for National Statistics and is administered to 20 million households. More details can be found at https://census.gov.uk/.
Judaism and Jedi-sim have approximately the same number of affiliations over the years. Taking the average of the 2001 and 2011 censuses, there were slightly more people who affiliated with Jedi-ism (283K) than Judaism (262K). While affiliation to the Jewish religion are likely to hold steady its anybody’s guess what will happen to the numbers affiliating with the category ‘Jedi Knight’. Will there be more Jews than Jedi’s at the 2021 census?
This bet will be resolved upon publication by the Office for National Statistics or the British Religion in Numbers Department of the University of Manchester, of analysis which shows a comparison between these affiliations on a comparable basis such as the BRIN paper:
In the event of any dispute or non-publication, Betfiar-Metaphysical will seek clarification from BRIN.
For the purposes of this bet only the numbers associated with the categories ‘Jewish’ and ‘Jedi Knight’ will be counted. On the basis that Sith appears as a further reported category the number of Siths will be added to that of Jedi Knight in order to maintain balance in the galaxy.
